My ancestors' hometown was Caramanico Terme.  The surnames I am researching in Caramanico are:
ALBERICO, FANTOZZI, BUCCIRELLI, BUCCI BRANDOLINO, DI MILLO, SANELLI, PERSICO, ORSINI AND CARAPELLUCCI. I have done extensive genealogy research of Caramanico from LDS microfilms and I have access to a lot of information about residents of Caramanico from 1820 to 1865 - and I'm willing to share with others looking for their ancestors.

DI ACETIS
Cheryl McCormack
cheryl@uga.edu
My great grandfather, Nicola DiAcetis (born 9/12/1881) arrived in New York on the SS Lombardia on May 22, 1902.  Nicola's family and predescesors resided in Caramanico.  I am wondering if this family line still inhabits the area, and/or their history in this area.  If anyone has information regarding the Diacetis surname, I would be very interested to share information.  I have a comprehensive account of the family lineage.

I am planning a trip to Caramanico in June 0f 2006 with 2 of my children and 4 grandchildren to see the land where their grandfather and great grandfather was born.  Cesare Di Sibio was born in 1898 in Caramanico.  He had a brother Vincenzo and a sister Assundi?  Cesare used the name Mike in the United States.  While Mike and his 3 sons (Pascal, Anthony & Louis)  visited the homeland through the years, none know the line of ancesters.  If you can help me in any way it would be appreciated.

ZUCCO
Anita Costanzo
aleynu1@msn.com
I just learned recently that my paternal grandmother was from Caramanico.  Her alien papers say "Caramanica" - but I am assuming - as with many things italian - that this was a spelling error - unless there is also a Caramanica in Abruzzo.
Her name was Anna ZUCCO (and she came to the U.S. in 1911 with her family - or so her alien paperwork says). Grateful for anything I can learn on this family and/or Caramanico in general.  :)
