Chiesa dell'Iconicella - church of the Madonna of the Little Icon.  See Lu Lette Pg. 9 for a modern view of the church.  This photo predates the cutting back of the cliff behind the church to make way for a road, and it predates the regrowth of forest that now surrounds the church.

La Madonna della Cucinella  - The Madonna of the Little Icon.  The statue is kept in the church above and is brought out for festas.

The people of Lettomanoppello depicting the crucifixion; this type of living depiction of religious themes is characteristic of the villages in Abruzzo and continues to this day in many places.

On the left is Piazza Umberto I, the main square, and on the right is via Stefani, with the bell tower of the church of San Nicola clearly visible.
