HOTEL & RISTORANTE LA NOCE - A NEW PLACE TO STAY
Until this year visitors to Lettomanoppello could find plenty of places to eat, but no hotels, no places to stay the night, leaving them with no alternative but to stay at facilities in another town or limit their visit to one day.  As of 2003, that has changed!  Antonio Di Pietrantonio and his family, who for years have run the restaurant La Noce, now have three guest rooms - a mini-hotel - over the restaurant.  And three more rooms are in the works.

The rooms are about 40 -45 euros per night.  There are two doubles (one with twin beds, one with a double bed) and one single.  Each has a private bath.  Each has french doors opening to a little balcony, and each has access to a rooftop terrace in back.

To inquire about the rooms, call La Noce at 085/8570282 (from the US: 011-39-085-8570282), or write to La Noce, via Torrone 38, 65020 Lettomanoppello (PE), Italia
Above left is the family.  From left to right: Antonio's wife Assunta Romasca, Antonio, their daughter Cristina, Antonio's sister Angeladea; Angeladea's husband Carlo; Antonio's brother Giovanni; Antonio and Assunta's daughter Natasca; Antonio's mother Antonietta Conte; and in front is Antonio and Assunta's son Giovanni.  Antonio and his daughter Cristina speak some English.

Above is La Noce before the three guest rooms on the second floor were finished.  The additional three rooms will be on the third floor.

At left are Antonio and daughter Cristina in front of the entrance to the restaurant.  The balcony of one of the guest rooms is visible over them to the left.
Each of the three guest rooms has a private bath.  Two of the rooms are doubles, one with twin beds, one with a double bed, and the other room is a single.  Each room has french doors opening onto a small balcony.
All three rooms open onto a hallway that leads to a rooftop terrace on the back, which has a gorgeous view and overlooks the walnut trees which give La Noce (The Walnut) its name.  The art objects in the hallway all were created by Antonio's brother Giovanni.  The terrace will soon have an awning and tables and chairs, the better to enjoy the breezes and the beautiful view of the mountains.
The restaurant is also decorated with artwork by Antonio's brother Giovanni.  The food is delicious.
All the food served at the restaurant is prepared on the premises using ingredients home-grown by the family.
Speciaties of the house include:
Assagini della Casa
(house appetizers)

Torcinello
(stuffed lamb)

Tagliatelle Verdi alle Noci
(green noodles with walnuts and lamb)

Agnello Cacio e Uova
(scalloped lamb with eggs)

Agnello alle Braci
(barbecued lamb)

Grigliate di Carni Varie
(grilled mixed meats)
