My grandparents were both born in Nocciano. My grandfather was Leandro Della Piana, son of Ferdinando Della Piana and Rita DiGiacomo. My grandmother was Elisa Savini, daughter of Raffaele Savini and Rosa Chiulli. I have traced the families all the way back to the 1500s, and include the surnames of Napoleone, Almonte, Marcucci, Delle Colle, di Norcia, D'Amato, Casucci, Cipoletti, and Palumbo.

My father was Michele Marcucci from Nocciano, born in 1903, the son of Sabatino Marcucci of Nocciano. He came to the US in 1920 and settled in Boston where his brother Cesare lived with his wife Adeline and their children Josephine and Americo. My father had other siblings - a brother Lorenzo and some sisters who remained in Italy. If anyone has information about this family or about any Marcucci's from Nocciano, please contact me.

My grandfather was Antonio Pietrangeli and his wife is Maria Pelusi who still lives in Nocciano. They had 8 children:
my father Pio, who married Elena Buccella from Nocciano, Vincenzo, Luigi, Corinto and Essilia all of Toronto; Gabriel of Pescara, and Lucietta and Filomena, still in Nocciano.
