| BRONZIA / PACE
Melody McConnell mel-don@rogers.com Giulietta Bronzia born in Pratola Peligna in 1903. Daughter of Maria Page (Pace). Father's first name unknown. Giulietta's father died when Giulietta was very young and all we know is that he was a trumpet player in Italy. He did have a brother who immigrated to New York, USA. Giulietta and her mother Maria immigrated to Canada in and about 1905-1906. Looking for information on the Bronzia name or any other possible spelling variations of this name. Even information about the Page (Pace) name would be helpful. CARDUCCI / TORENTELLO brucesharon222@aol.com My grandfather Joseph Carducci was born in Pratola Peligna May 10, 1883. His parents were Philo Carducci and Annuziatta (Nuzia) Torentello. They also had a daughter who married a DiCristosaro. Both Joseph and Nuzia emigrated to the U.S. in early 1900. CIANFAGLIONE / DI PIETRO glacierbears@yahoo.com My grandparents immigrated from Pratola Peligna in the early 1900's. My grandmother was Maria Cianfaglione and my grandfather was Palmerino DiPietro (or it could be spelled DePietro). I am pretty sure my grandmother wrote and received mail from some relatives up until the time of her death in the mid 1970's. Any information you have would be helpful. D'ANDREA Nicholas D'Aloisio nicholas.daloisio@pw.utc.com My name is Nicholas D'Aloisio and my father's mother family is from Pratola. I just met a cousin, John Leone married to Dora. My grandmother's maiden name was D'Andrea. DI BACCO / PIZZOFERRATO Constance DiBacco cdibacco12@jcu.edu My grandparents are from Pratola Peligna their names were Constantino DiBacco and Philomena Pizzoferrato. Looking for information on current living relatives in Pratola. I had the pleasure of visiting Pratola because I am studying abroad in Rome, Italy so I met a young DiBacco my age (early 20's) but we could not figure out if there was a relation. Just looking to piece together a more concise family tree. DI CIOCCIO Joe Di Cioccio JSA95@aol.com I am looking for a link between my Family, DiCioccio of Lazio, Frosinine, Roccasecca and any DiCioccio's of Pratola Peligna. My Father Antonio was born in 1899 in Roccasecca. His Father was Giovanni DiCioccio. In 1902 Francesco DiCioccio, at the age of 27, emigrated to America from Roccasecca. He was followed in 1907 by P. Antonio DiCioccio, age 18, also from Roccasecca. Since Roccasecca is a very small town I assume that Giovanni, Francesco, and P.Antonio were related, possibly Brothers. Since there are no other Family members in Roccasecca with our surname and since there is a very large population of DiCioccio's in the Pratola Peligna area I further assume that these three Brothers left from Pratola Peligna and traveled West to Roccasecca. I am looking for any information that might help me confirm my assumptions. Thank you, DI CIOCCIO / DI GREGORIO Pamela Rubenbauer prubenbauer@comcast.net I'm a DiCioccio from Connecticut. Daughter of the late Donald and Elsie (Trimble) DiCioccio. My dad was the son of Venanzio and Rosa Maria (DiGregorio) DiCioccio. One or both were Pratolan. I's not really clear. As a young man, Venanzio was a cavalier in King Umberto's army. In the late 1800s, Venanzio emigrated to the U.S. with his brothers Domenico, Antonio and another brother whose name I cannot recall (we called him the uncle in Collinsville). Venanzio was already married with 2 small children at the time. When he was established here, he brought my grandmother over. She sailed with the 2 little ones and was pregnant to boot. My Uncle Tony was the first to be born in this country. Their children are as follows: Clara, Ida, Antonio, Amadeo, Vincenzo, Dante (my dad's real name), Giorgio and Roberto. Sadly, they're all gone now. Would love to know if I still have distant relatives in the "old country." D'ELISIO / DI SANDIMINGO / CARDUCCI or CARTUCCI Rocco & Kate deliseo1@optusnet.com.au Hi, My name is Rocco D'Eliseo, Melbourne, Australia and I am searching for my families heritage and any family that may still be in Pratola Peligna. From what I was able to find out is that my Family name is DÉliseo and apart of my family there is Di Sandimingo and Carducci or Cartucci. Not sure about that one. Town that we are from are Pratola Pelinga it self but also Sulmona and Roccacasale. If anyone knows any of us, please send me and email. A quick brief is that my father and parents migrated to Australia- Silvia and Guiseppe DÉliseo. My Nonno had 2 brothers and I think 3 sisters.Nonnas name is Di Sandimingo. But I was also able to find out that my dad's nonna's maiden name is Carducci or Cartucci DE MARINES or DEMARINIS Ron DeMarines itsronmd1@comcast.net Thank you for providing this service to help me locate my family's surname and relatives in Pratola Peligna. I am searching for the surname of "DeMarines" or "DeMarinis". My grandfather, Salvidore DeMarines, came to the United States about 1906 and settled in western Pennsylvania. I would appreciate any information regarding his/my relatives in Italy. DI CRISTOFARO Varnadoe99@aol.com Here is a picture of my father, Domenico Di Cristofaro. He was born in Pratola on July 25, 1939, and died on September 07, 2003 of cancer. Domenico's obituary tells the success story of a true Pratoligna: DOMENICO DICRISTOFARO - July 25, 1939 - September 7, 2003 Died at his home in Cleveland, Ohio Domenico was admired for so many things, particularly his courage, loyalty and lifelong devotion to his wife Maria of 43 years and their four wonderful children: (Nevas, Antonietta, Virna, and Lisa]. This is where he excelled; this is where he derived his strength. If one were to ask Domenico what his greatest legacy to the world would be, he would bypass all the professional accolades, and immediately tell you with one simple word, family. His family was his paradise. He would always preach, "there is nothing more important than family." He is also left by his sister, Luciana Casasanta, and mother Nivetta Tarantello. Who today knows the greatest sorrow of all, losing a child. Both, in Pratola, were unable to be with him in his last days, as it seems god had other plans. Lastly, Domenic leaves behind people he may well have considered his crown jewels, the fruits of his paradise, his grandchildren. Jonathan and Christopher, sons of Nevas DiCristofaro. Brandon, son of Virna and Daniel Varnadoe. Lauren and Anthony, daughter and son of Lisa and Kevin Bogar. While the children have now lost a link to their past, they will always remain Domenico's hope for the future and those generations yet to come. Domenic was a true American success story, born out of years of sacrifice, courage and determination. At the young age of 9 he tragically lost his father Antonio, a Chemist and Carpenter, in a biking accident. His mother, in order to keep him out of trouble enrolled him in a Tailoring Apprenticeship program. By the age of eighteen he was able to make his own suits and at age twenty would graduate from design school. In 1960 he came to the United States, with as Domenic would say "$2.50 cents worth of Lire in my pocket". He spoke no English. It was here that he met his devoted wife Maria, and a short three weeks later was married, bought their first house and worked three jobs to pay the mortgage. He started his own tailoring business in 1980 and in 1989 realized his dream, owning his own retail store. In true Domenic form with an emphasis on quality, he stocked his store with the finest clothing and fabrics made. Adesso Fashion for Men has stood for quality and friendship in the Cleveland clothing industry for the past 13 years, now one of the top 100 men's stores in the United States. All was stemming from the courage and determination of one man. DI CHRISTOFORO / SPADAFORA us@bestofnewengland.com Hello, my name is dories. We are planning a trip to prattle in April 2003.
