My name is Juan Carlos Bucciarelli and I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. My father Angelo BUCCIARELLI (deceased) was born in Pretoro and immigrated to Argentina in 1950. My mother Concetta FILOSO also born in Pretoro, immigrated to Argentina in 1952. We immigrated to Ottawa, Canada in 1959. My father's parents were Angelo BUCCIARELLI and Concetta SPADACCINI, both born in Pretoro. My mother's parents were Domenico FILOSO and Anna BUCCIARELLI (no relation to my father's family) both also born in Pretoro.
My mother's mom will turn 99 in November of this year and her sopranomo is Annina "Cangiarra". My mother's father was referred to as Minghe (short for Domenic) " Cavorre". My father's sopranomo was Angiolino di "Candelore".
I am currently the President of the Association Pretorese here in the city of Ottawa, Canada. We have close to 500 families who originate from the town of Pretoro living here in Ottawa. We would be glad to assist anyone who is seeking information about their Pretorese roots.

both my father Rocco Colasante (sn "Damasuce") and mother Maria Palmerio (sn "Larchette") were born in Pretoro. My father's parents were Nilcola Colasante and Chiara Pantelone (sn "Barre"). My mother's parents were Antonio Palmerio and Anna Olivieri.
My father immigrated to Sault Ste. Marie, Canada in 1957 and later settled in Ottawa and was joined by my mother in 1958.

My family is formed of Giamberardino's and Di Pietro's, both from Pretoro. My two Great Grandfathers and their families came to Canada in the 1950's. Anthony Giamberardino died three years ago at the age of 102. He was the oldest living Italian In Ottawa before he passed away. My other great grandfather Anthony Di'Pietro died nine years ago at the age of 100. All of their children including my grandfather and grandmother are well living in Ottawa Ontario Canada.

My father, Antonio R. DAFRICO was born on 2/1/1909 in Roccamontepiano and immigrated to the USA in April, 1915. His mother, Chiara PANTELONE, was born in Pretoro in April, 1879. His father, Donato DELL'AFRICO, was born in August 1876 and was probably also from Roccamontepiano. Any information about either family would be greatly appreciated.
