My wife's father is Italo Ferrari, born about 1939 in Roccamorice, one of a family of 11 children.  He emigrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where he married Maria di Giovanni (b. about 1949) in 1968.  Italo has a brother, Biasino, and a sister, Chiarina, as well as a brother Americo (now deceased), who emigrated to Toronto with him.  He has two brothers,  Aldo and Tonino, and a sister, Lidia, who still live in Roccamorice.  Maria Di Giovanni still has her mother (Angelina), an aunt (Filomena), and a brother Emidio Di Giovanni still in La Rocca, as well as a brother Rocco in Belgium.

My wife's father was Mario Francione, who was born in the 1890s in Roccamorice, the son of Giovanni Francione, who was born August 8, 1852, and the grandson of Floriano Francione, who was born in the 1820s.  Mario Francione married Grazia D'Alimonte, who was born in Roccamorice in the 1890s, the daughter of Pamfilo D'Alimonte, who was born between 1850-1860.  I would like to hear from anyone with more information about this family.

Dominic Francione, b. in 1896 in or near Roccamorice, married Blanch Pellegrine, who was born in 1906.  Dominic Francione had 5 brothers; two kept the name Francione and lived in Rochester, NY.  The others changed the name to French and lived in Waterloo, NY.

My father was Luigi E. Galli, born 5/1/1897 in Roccamorice, died Mar.18,1993 (stone mason by trade), son of Venanzio Galli and Maria Nicola Giansante. ( Venanzio died in the 1940's; his father was Luigi Galli, who was the son of Venanzio Galli.)  My father married Amalia DeStefanis of Lettomanoppello, the daughter of Gaetano DeStefanis and Rosina Chiacchia.  Her family owned the flour mill in Lettomanoppello.

I am working on a family tree for my husband-Basilio Lio Galli (1942-2000). His parents were Agostino Galli (1905-1988) and Elisa Liberi (1911-1993).They left Roccamorice in 1958 for Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Agostino and Elisa had 5 other children- Osvaldo, Ezio, Beatrice(Menna), Dante and Anna (Trevisan).
Agostino's parents were Carlo Galli and Maria Scolastica Giansante. Agostino had 3 brothers-Santino, Peppino and Donato and a sister Maria. Carlo's father was Donato Galli. Anyone with information on this family please contact me.

My mother's surname is Giansante.  She was born in Roccamorice but moved toAbbateggio more specifically contrata Cusano duringWW2.   The family Sopranome is Capodaglio.  After my grandfather, Giovanni Giansante who was born in Roccamorice.Her mother's maiden name was D'Amore.  The family sopranome was Marziano,after my great  grandfather Angelo Marino who was born and lived inAbbateggio.

My name is David Giansante, My grandfather was Agustino Giansante married to Guseppina Giansante (nee DiPronio) imigrated to Toronto, Ontario. My Grandmother has a nephew Gino DePronio married to Roseta, three children Albert, Anna, and Angelo they all live in Florida. My Grandmother also had 2 half brothers (that I know of) Agustino Menna and Pantolion Menna (dec.) married to Rosali they have four sons Tony, John, Mario, and Bruno (dec.). They all live in Florida as well. My grand parents had 6 childern: Rosalina married to Gueseppi Rosati two kids Danny and Anna, Luisa married to Bruno Pauselli two kids Anna and Roberto, Angelina (dec.) married to Mario Gatto two kids
Bruno and Rita, Donato married to Maria three kids Agustino (dec.) Gabreilla and Agustino, Fioravnte (Fred) married to Elda (dec.) and remarried to Italia three kids Pina Peter and Gena (dec.) there were then three children that died at a young age not sure names two of them were twins, last my father Mario married to Delia two kids Michael and David. All above with the exception of Angelina (and family) and in Toronto (surrounding area) Angelina's family is in Windsor, Ontario. My Grandparents lived on Osler (in Toronto, near St. Clair) There was also another Giansante family that lived about 9 doors down the Father was Antonio married to Maria, they had 3 daughters and a son.

My husband was Basilio Lio Galli (1942-2000). His parents were Agostino Galli (1905-1988) and Elisa Liberi (1911-1993).They left Roccamorice in 1958 for Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Elisa's parents were Dante Liberi and Beatrice Liberi.Dante's parents were Basilio Liberi and Elisa DiMillo. Dante worked in philadelphia, P.A. in the early 1900's and died there in 1950.Beatrice's parents were Nunzio Liberi and Francesca. Nunzio and Dante were brothers.
Elisa had one sister Silvia Liberi Ferrante whose son Adalberto Ferrante owns the Bakery in Roccamorice.

My great-grandfather came from "Lu Lette".   I believe his first name was Antonio.  He moved to Roccamorrice with his family.  His son, Nicola, was my grandfather.

Luca Antonio Menna, born in 1851 in Roccamorice (son of Feliciano Matteo Menna and Maria Luisa D'Angelo), married Sabia Biase Simone, who was born in 1856 in Lettomanoppello (daugher of Nunzio Simone and Antonietta Aceto).  Their son Felice Menna, born in 1886 in Roccamorice, died in San Valentino, married Elizabetta D'Angelo, born in 1888 and died in 1979.  Their daughter Anna Maria Menna, born in 1911 in Minnesota, married Salvatore Pietrangelo in 1927 in Italy.  See Robin's entries under the surnames D'ANGELO and PIETRANGELO.

Nicola Antonio Palumbo is my father , born 1946 in Roccamorice and he  married Lucia DiToro. My great-grandparents names  were Giuseppe Valentino Palumbo and Chiara Farchione, and they had three sons: Agostino(my grandfather),Nunzio and Francesco. My father has been called "Red beard" (barbarossa)
The majority of my father's relatives went to Lockport, New York,Niagara Falls, Ontario , Amherstburg, Ontario or Detroit, Michigan. My grandparents emigrated to Niagara Falls, Ontario in 1951.

Io cio 83 anni.  Sono ritornanta due volte.  Angora cio i cugini la.  Mio marito, Salvatore Di Nardo, e muorto.  Io vivo nella mia casa, vicino la mia famiglia e la mia chiesa. I am the daughter of Guiseppe Palumbo and Maria Rosati. Best wishes and good things.I am happy that my town of Roccamorice became like a city. I came  here from the month of July of 1950. I am 83 years and I have returned two times. I still have cousins there. My husband, Salvatore DiNardo is deceased. I live in my own house near my family and my church. I am the granddaughter of Joseph Parete, born in Roccamorice in December, 1894. I know very little about his family, only that he had many siblings, some of which settled in Ontario, Canada. One sibling, Anthony, was known by me. He settled in the Cleveland, Ohio, area. Joseph came to the United States in the early 1900's and married Ella DeMatteo. I have relatives named DePasquale, DeMillo, and DeMatteo.

  My grandmother Antonetta was born in Roccamorice November 18, 1910. She was baptized at San Donato church. Her father's name was Dominic and her mother's name was Concetta (Rosati) she was born August 12, 1879. Her mother's name was Maria (Pietrangelo) and her father's name was Antonio Rosati. I believe Concetta was born in Roccamorice too. The spelling of the name Perrotta has changed over the years.

My grandfather Antonio Jesse Petrangelo , born 1879 in Roccamorice and married Maria DiNardi. He had a brother named John who changed his name to Rosetti after coming to the U.S. He also had a first cousin named Bartolomeo who lived in Duluth,Minn. Bartolomeo  had children named Basil, Carmen and Phillip. Antonio came to the U.S. in 1900 .

My father was born in Roccamorice, came to the U.S. in l907 - l910, but left a son, who since had two children, a boy and girl. The son's name is Lucien Petrangelo, maybe the name was shortened. If you know of any such person, please let me know. Petrangelo was my fathers name, my maiden name.
