My husband's family is originally from Roccamontepiano. My husband's grandfather, Camilo Belfiglio emigrated to the US from Roccamontepiano in the late 1920's. As "Belfiglio" is a very rare name in the US and most of the other Belfiglios in the United States seem to have come from that area, we would enjoy knowing if we have any family back in that area.

My grandmother was Bambina (Liberatore) D'Angelo born 12/23/1891 daughter of Giovanni & Santa (Sylvestre) Liberatore. My grandfather was Giovanni D'Angelo born in 1883 son of Raphael & Maria D'Angelo. Both were from Roccamontepiano, Italy. On 4/29/1917 they were wed in the USA. If you have any more information on any areas of my grandparents life I would greatly appreciate it, especially my grandfather Giovanni's life. My grandfather died in a industrial accident while my father John was still in the womb so we never had a chance to know much about him or his families history.

His father, Donato DELL'AFRICO, was born in August 1876 and was probably also from Roccamontepiano. His mother, Chiara PANTELONE, born in April 1879, was from Pretoro. I am doing some geneology research on the part of my family that comes from Roccamontepiano. My great grandmother, Annantonia H. Di Prato, was born there in 1884. Her parents names were Giacomo and Concetta Lignini. She immigrated to the USA in 1927. My great grandfather, Giustino Carulli, was also born in Roccamontepiano in 1884. He immigrated to the USA in 1915. I am trying to find out any more information on my relatives.

My name is Maria Bauer. My maiden name is Maria Antonietta Donatucci. I was born in Chieti, Italy in Sept 1961. I lived in Roccamontepiano, Chieti, Italy until the age of 6 1/2. Then we moved to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I have lived in Ottawa since April 1968. I have been back on many occasions to visit family and relatives. My maternal grandparents unfortunately died in 1969 and 1972. My paternal grandparents, I never got to meet. They were gone before I was even born. My dad is Urbano Donatucci. My mother is Domenica Donatucci (maiden name Di Cola). My dad’s brother is in Ottawa – Antonio Donatucci and is 95 years of age. My Mom and Dad are both 84 years of age.
I would love to connect with anyone searching out their background. I’m in the midst of writing my autobiography and thus searching out stories, photos, etc. from the 1960’s.

My Grandmother, Anna Salbucci was born 09-25-1884.Siblings were Spina, Gracie, Filomina, Rocco, Settimio, and Carmine. My Great-Grandfather, Pasquale Salbucci (02-03-1860 / 10-23-1925) married Carmela Di Nardo (02-07-1856 / 03-19-1935). Great-Great Grandparents, Niccolo Salbucci was married to Maria Traccana and Carlo Di Nardo married Carolina Beradini. I am still researching Canada and South America for relatives. Hope to visit Italy soon. I have many more names.

My Grandfather was Nunziato Marinelli from Roccomontepiano. He was born Mar 27, 1885. He came to the US about 1902. He was married to Maria Montanaro born Feb. 16, 1884. This is my Mothers family. She is 1st generation American. Nunziato was the son of Justine (Giustino) Marinelli (born about 1860) and Rose Celsio (daughter of Rocco Celsio and Lucia); he married Maria Montenaro of Chieti, Abruzzo. In addition to my grandfather Nunziato, the other children of Justine and Rose were: Antonio, Sanda, Domenica, and Giacomo. Justine (Giustino) Marinelli was the son of Vincent (Vincenzo) Marinelli and Grazia.
