| CALISTO
Julie Moore julie1279@earthlink.net My maternal great-grandfather's name was Antonio Calisto, and he came to the US from Rosciano in 1912. If anyone has any information about the Calisto family in Rosciano, please contact me. CENTURIONE / PALMA Kathleen M. Centurione hhoney59@pce.net My great grandfather last place of residence was in Rosciano, Italy before leaving for the U.S. in 1922. His name was Giuseppe Centurione and had a brother named Luigi who had tried to come to America with him, but was'nt allowed due to health problems. Giuseppe moved to Buffalo, NY and married another Italian named Palma in 1929. It's believed she was from the same town as he was. If anyone knows anything of these two, it would be much appreciated. Thank you. DIPERSIO triciafierro@aol.com My great-grandfather Camillo DiPersio immigrated to the US from Rosciano in 1906. He was born in Villa Oliveti in 1883. I have found his ship manifest, all naturalization papers, WWI & II draft registrations, US Census, etc, but can find nothing on him or his family while still in Italy other than where he was born. His occupation was as a tailor, but that too I am not sure if he performed that occupation in Italy or only once here in the US. FILIPPONE Annarita Filippone filippa71@hotmail.com I was born on january 1st 1948 in my paternal grandfather's house in Rosciano and after I moved to Bologna we used to visit my grandfather Raffaele FILLIPONE and nonna Lucia (nee) Di Giovanni. I believe my nonno had a brother, Guiseppe who lived in Cepagatti with his wife. My father's name was Vittorio, and he had two sisters, Rachele and Clarice who live in Pescara by the seacoast. My father married Yolanda Di Giovanni, daughter of Sabbatino Di Giovanni of Catignano and Rosaria Savini of Chieti. I went back to Rosciano in 1978 and met a nanny of mine there, her name was Mafalda Di Matarazzo. I often spent time at a quaint trattoria at the very top of the town and also with the nuns at a couple of the churches there, they would teach me how to embroider. I would love to hear from anyone with connections to Rosciano. GRANDE Gabriella Cignarella (nee Lucci) gabriella@zipkislegal.com.au My grandfather Camillo Grande was born in Rosciano on 8 February 1908. He is still alive and lives in Sydney, Australia. He is also the uncle of Romandino Grande. GRANDE Jasmine jasmine1973@hotmail.com My grandfather who is still alive, Romandino GRANDE one of four brothers, was born in Rosciano. PIETROLUNGO Antonio A Pietrolungo ap0454@bigpond.com Il mio nome: Tonino (Torlonio) Pietrolungo, nato a Villasangiovanni contrada Sanmartino, emigrato in Australia nel 1954. Vorrei augurare a tutti gli paesani di Rosciano, e (Cepagatti) un lietissimo buon Sante Natale e un prosperoso anno nuovo. Sempre orgoglioso di essere nato a Rosciano. |
