My grandfather and grandmother (Traquinio and Angelina (Bernardo) Antico and two of my aunts were born and lived in San Valentino. My aunt always talked about meeting her grandmother on the steps of the big church every Sunday. My family is planning a trip to the area in September of this year. Do you by any chance know of any hotels in San Valentino. My brother stayed there quite a few years ago and he thought the hotel was Hotel Paradiso. Thank you for any help you may be able to give me.

I am researching my CECCOMANCINI ancestors from San Valentino. Valentino CECCOMANCINI was born in San Valentino and died after 1838, probably in San Valentino. He married Cesilia DI FABIO who was also born in San Valentino and who also died after 1838. Their daughter, Cristina CECCOMANCINI, was born in San Valentino about 1796, and she died in Lettomanoppello in 1838. She married Bartolomeo RICCI of Lettomanoppello.

The dated paper is titled "PRECETTO per presentarsi all' esame definitivo ed arruolamento. My mother is giving me all these papers and she remembers very little about where her father was from. My great-grandfather's name was Vito Iacobucci. He was born in San Valentino in 1888. He married Rosario Di Francesco in 1908, and his last residence was in Alanno, Italy. He immigrated to Canton, Ohio in 1914, with his wife following in 1915. My grandfather was born in Alanno, Italy (Giovanni Iacobucci) and his brother Giuseppe Iacobucci). Nine more children followed, which were born in the U.S. In 1950 or 1951, my uncle Guiseppe Iacobucci (name changed in the U.S. to Joseph Buch) was deported. A family member thinks it was to the Chieti area. So, I am looking to connect with Iacobuccis in the San Valentino area, the Di Francescos in the Alanno area, or find out what happened with my uncle (Giuseppe Iacobucci aka Joseph Buch) in the Chieti area.
