Cristina Liberi was born in 1892 in Roccamorice, the daughter of Pietro Cataldo Liberi and Concetta Lanuti Liberi, who died in childbirth when Cristina was 3 years old. Cristina and her father, Pietro, came to the US in 1906 to join her brothers Giousue and Francesco, who had already settled in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Her sister Nicoletta Liberi lived in Geneva, New York in an arranged marriage in 1908 with Francesco DeJohn. They had 8 children.
Cristina married Antonio Giosue Yarussi, born in 1885 in Rivisondoli, on July 15, 1909 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Cristina and Antonio (Anthony) had 8 children, three of whom died in childbirth. Anthony apprenticed as a suit maker in Rivisondoli and opened a tailor shop in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. Anthony’s parents were Francesco and Maria Faraglia Iarussi who married in 1874 in Pescocostanzo, Italy. Cristina died in Pittsburgh in 1957 and Tony in 1958. |

Felice Menna, born 1886 in LaRocca and his wife Elizabeth D'Angelo, born 1888 in LaRocca and their children from the left- Joe, Tony, Angeline, Albert, Rosa and Anna. They also had 3 other children- Vittorio, Lucy and Jolanda.
Taken about 1920 in Minnesota before the family moved back to Italy.
