The casa del Barone is across from the Chiesa della Santissima Annunziata and Chiesa di San Donato and it is owned by my mother's family.  They also owned the garden known as 'la filaseta' which was expropriated in the late 70's to make the park and playground for kids.  Unfortunately the playground has been removed and now it is just a park ( giardino pubblico) .
My great-grand father Venanzio Galli bought the house from the Barone in 1918, and as far as I know it has always been a private house, it is now divided in 3 apartments plus an unfinished bit (the brick wall on the left hand side of the picture
The filaseta was bought by my grandfather at an auction at around the same time and it was also owned by the Barone.
When the Galli's, who were all masons, redid the roof immediately after they had bought the property they found an inscription somewhere, my great aunt did not recall details of it and unfortunately she died several years ago, which said that the building was made in 1210, I do not know where this inscription is now and it may have been destroyed
The gates in front of the house are not original but were redone in 1972.
