His father's name (I believe) was Francesco and his mother's name DeFillipo. He left Serramonacesca for the US in about 1903. He returned a few years later (possibly 1911) and married Rosa Marchegiano from Chieti. She had three children "Casper" "Jeanette" and "Nicholas" (the Americanized names they used in the US). Her first husband' s name was DiIulius. John worked in the US for the New York Central and later Pennsylvania Railroads. He settled in Camden, New Jersey, where there were many other Abruzzese, and died in 1963. He and Rose had 5 children in the US including my father, William (born Guglielmo). My brother visited Serramonacesca in 1960 while in the Navy, and was treated wonderfully by the people there. He stayed with descendants of my grandfather's sister, whose name, unfortunately, I do not know. Does any of this ring a bell with anyone?
